I'm almost forgetting, I think it was thought that drinking orange juice relieves head pressure, improves concentration, and helps create tulpa. all in all a cure for everything()
I do need to sit down and properly do focusing because i don't think just talking at them randomly is the best way to do anythin...

izzy was mostly just talking to me when she started undertaking tulpamancy, i might be a special case 'cos i was around before she started practicing the techniques but there wasn't much to me actually being 'me' aside from her talking to me and asking me questions.

My tulpa friend told me that in the beginning, it was like he was in a dark box with an empty mind and could feel someone talking to them, and then slowly, the thinking became clearer and clearer

I've been thinking about whether it's the conversation that allows tulpa to form or the belief that tulpa exists that comes from the act of conversation...(edited)

humans are social animals
We learn about each other by interacting with other people
We use other people as social mirrors
The same applies to tulpamancy

That should work, as long as you don't try to get them to type Morse code that way afterward(X)
tulpamancy in my view is in part very similar to developing self emotional intelligence
there are 4 aspects of emotional intelligence:
Self awareness, self management, social awareness and social management
When tulpas start talking, do you still get head pressure or whatever when they're active?

I only got head pressures when we expected they could happen. Aside from concentration/forcing headaches, these appear out of the blue and hurt a bit. The more random ones would actually hurt. When we don't think about head pressures for awhile, they go away.
Ranger figured out how to induce them on command, even if the sensation isn't as strong as the random ones.

also in similr way as you give attention to unwanted things (intrusive thoughts, bad habits etc) they become stronger, it’s the same for the wanted things, like tulpa. Giving them thoughts and attention helps them form

so what i’m saying, in short: yes i agree with you
Leiko
They put pressure on different parts of my head to mean "yes" and "no"
So the circumstances that led to the formation of the tulpa I can understand as being due to prolonged attention to the tulpa (and the belief that the tulpa is conscious)?

we sort of see this stuff as creating the framework our mind uses, but not when creating tulpas in general, just with like.. being plural and manipulating it through means similar to these and whatnot

none of our actual tulpas were created for any purpose other than to exist, really

i had a weird sensation in the back of my head that i thought was a head pressure, it was like there was something beneath the skin that was being pumped full of air and deflated, and it pulsated and then faded away, and there was no aching at all
10:22 PM
that was when i started 4 months ago
10:22 PM
it came right after i wondered if the tulpa was there too
From my understanding, possession is the tulpa controlling the body but not being the main stream of thought, whereas switching is the tulpa controlling the body and being the main stream of thought, basically acting and feeling the same as the host
im in the phase where i've only really made my tulpa on paper, and attempted to communicate a little here and there. ive given up on visualization because that simply doesnt work for me. i dont get responses, and am not sure how to work on my tulpa at all. is "pretending" im talking to them (eg, thinking of answers for them) a good strategy? i really am not sur ehow to go about ithis
keep thinking they are there and if an answer sounds like something they could say, assume that its them, and ignore answers that you wouldnt want your tulpa to say
10:29 AM
and dont worry if the answers are just single words or that they contradict what they said earlier, thats just how it goes when you start out

What’s the difference between possession and switching
Basically any situation where possession is a less intense experience than switched oddly enough. Possession's meaning is as consistent as switching's, it's not consistent at all.
My understanding of possession is the switched-in headmate can stop the possessor from controlling the body, so possession is controlling the body with the approval. My experience is I can even do the majority of the thinking, but Gray manifests on an unconscious level and can take back control whenever he wants to. I can control all of the body (full-body possession) or part of it (partial possession). I need to be the one doing the majority of the thinking for the former but that's not necessary for the latter
